Modern medicine.

Hey, you wanna know what's about twelve kinds of messed up?
Lately I've been feeling tired. Actually, tired isn't accurate....exhausted. And not the kind of exhausted you feel after working a long day or when you're stressed out, but just a general blanket-form of exhaustion. I woke up tired. In fact, for the past three days, all I've been doing is sleeping, either in my bed or on the couch.
At first I thought it was stress, or maybe some sort of flu bug I picked up, but when I wasn't feeling better after a few days, I began to worry.
Until, that is, I was cleaning out my bathroom cupboard and found one of my old prescription bottles.
See, I have this thyroid thing that, while not serious, requires that I take medication regularly. As the condition worsens, I have to increase the dosage of my medicine, otherwise I can get tired....or actually, fatigued. When I moved a few months ago I switched pharmacies and had to call my doctor to have the prescription called in. I didn't even notice that the pills were a completely different color than before.
That is, until I compared prescription bottles. My most current prescription is for nearly half the dosage I am supposed to be taking. When I called the doctor's office I was told they accidentally sent in a prescription from two (!!) years ago.
I would go down to the office and give the whole staff a piece of my mind, but I need to go to the pharmacy and pay (!!!) for the corrected prescription, find a new doctor, and then take a six hour nap.
