Social Butterfly.

This will be the first year where I will be going to an actual, honest-to-god, work Christmas party. At my old job, the Christmas party generally consisted of meeting at a bar and paying for your own drink. But now that I work for a company that has money (quite a bit of money, actually), the party will include a full dinner at a restaurant where a meal would probably cost me most of my weekly food budget and a full open bar.

The downside is that I will probably need a date for the dinner. At this point, I have three options:

1) Invite Moomie to join me and then deal with him pulling his car salesman act, which could possibly include handing out business cards and making deals over dessert. Drink copiously.

2) Invite Zack, who will keep me entertained with geeky banter (which is guarenteed to include references to Star Trek and/or Battlestar Gallactica), but then expose myself to my coworkers for the dork I truly am. Drink heavily.

3) Go by myself, risking the chance of being labeled the office spinster. Drink until the awkwardness subsides.

The problem with inviting either Moomie or Zack is that they also have Christmas parties to go to, and so by inviting them to my party it creates an issue as to whether or not I should be invited to their party. And I don't really want to go to either of their parties. I just want a free meal.
