If you can't stand the heat...
There are certain things that I really should do on a more regular basis. Going to the gym, for instance. Or calling my grandmother. Actually researching politics before voting. And so on, and so on.
This list would also include cleaning out my oven. I've lived in the same apartment for over three years now and not once have I cleaned the oven. I assumed that, since I'm not eating off of it, the level of cleanliness can be a little lower than usual. So, sure, there was some burned on gunk in the stove but it just adds, um, flavor to my cooking, right?
Wrong.
Last night I was cooking dinner and the burned on gunk CAUGHT ON FIRE. Pretty big sign it's time to clean. Or that I need to order more take-out.
